Class 31 NOVICE WORKING HUNTER Mare, gelding or stallion, 4 years old or over, not to have won a total of £100 (excluding championship prize money) in prize money in any SHB (GB) affiliated ridden working hunter classes, or more than 5 BE points or 200 BS points, at home or equivalent abroad, before 1st January in the current year.

Class 32 OPEN WORKING HUNTER RIHS QUALIFIER Mare, gelding or stallion 4 years old and over exceeding 148cm. Any horse which has qualified as a Grade A Show Jumper or Advanced Event Horse as at 1st January in the current year is not eligible to compete in Working Hunter classes.

ROYAL INTERNATIONAL HORSE SHOW This show is a qualifier for the 2017 Royal International Horse show. Only 1 pony qualifies in each of the Part Bred Arab classes 1 & 2, the Open Show Hunter Pony classes 3 – 6, the Open Show Pony classes 7 – 9, the Open Intermediate classes 10 - 12, the Heritage Lead Rein and First Ridden classes 18 & 19, the Leading Rein of Hunter Type class 20, the Open Leading Rein and First Ridden classes 21 & 22, the Home Produced classes 23 & 24 and 50-53, and the Open Heritage Ridden classes 45 – 49. The highest placed not already qualified from the first three places will qualify. Owners, riders and ponies must be members of the BSPS in order to compete in these classes and animals must be registered with the Arab Horse Society in order to compete in classes 1 & 2.

BSPS CLASSIC SECURITY CHALLENGE This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Challenge. The highest placed pony in classes 3-15, 18-24, 28, 30, 40, 41, 43 and 45-49 will qualify providing the pony has not qualified for the 2017 Horse of the Year Show. If the highest placed pony has already qualified the qualification will be passed to the next eligible pony. If after qualifying a pony qualifies for the 2017 Horse of the Year Show it will forfeit its qualification for the Challenge.

BSPS PREMIER LEAGUE This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Premier League. The first four in classes 13-15, 28, 30, 40, 41 and 43 will qualify.

BSPS CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Champion of Champions. The Champion Show Hunter Pony, Intermediate, Show Pony, Mini Show Pony and Working Hunter Pony will qualify.

BSPS “INDUSTRIAL SALT SUPPLIES” WOW FACTOR (Winner of Winners) Ponies placed 1st in the Heritage M&M Open Classes to qualify for the BSPS Summer Championship Show 2017.

BSPS “BLACK COUNTRY SADDLES” BEST RIDER This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Best Rider. The best rider in each of the following classes will be awarded a best rider card and qualify to compete at the final to be held at the BSPS Championship Show held in August: Open Leading Rein, First Ridden, Open Show Pony Classes, Lead Rein of Hunter Type, Open Show Hunter Pony classes, Open Intermediate classes, Working Hunter Pony classes, and Heritage Leading Rein and First Ridden classes. The best rider under 25 years of age will be chosen in Heritage Open and Working Hunter Pony classes.

BEST OF THE BEST This show is a qualifier for the "Best of the Best" Area Supreme Championship which will be held at the 2017 Summer Championship Show. The Supreme Champion from the BSPS Area 15a Supreme Championship will qualify. To be eligible for the qualification animals must be registered, owned and ridden by a member of BSPS Area 15a.

CHERIF CHAMPIONSHIP This is a qualifying show for the CHERIF CHAMPIONSHIP 2017. The final will be held at the Cherif Championship Show, Addington Manor Equestrian Centre, Bucks, on 13th September 2017. All details and qualifying cards at £25.00 each (payable to Cherif Championship) from: Miss L. Temple, 67 High Street, Codford, Wiltshire BA12 0NB. Please state the name and accurate height of horse/pony. Please send SAE and contact phone number.

BSPA Classes 34-37 are affiliated to the BSPA and are qualifiers for the RIHS 2017. Classes will be judged under BSPA rules – download from www.bspaonline.com. All horse/ponies, owners and riders must be registered with the BSPA prior to the show. Membership and qualification cards must be carried in the ring by competitors and produced as required for inspection or signature; no competitor/owner/horse may compete in these classes or enter the ring without a current 2017 membership and qualification card. Spurs may not be worn in any pony class. Ponies 153cm or under (Shetlands exempt) must possess a current JMB height certificate. All stallions must be graded with the BSPA and in possession of a BSPA stallion ID card which must be carried at all times and produced on request. All stallions must wear a blue 2017 BSPA stallion disc. No rider under 14 years of age may exhibit a stallion in any class. Rider age will be taken from 1st January. The first placed and the next unqualified competitor standing 2nd or 3rd will qualify from each class. No competitor may qualify from lower than 3rd place. The highest placed amateur and junior in each class will qualify for the amateur and junior supreme championship finals to be held at the BSPA World of Colour Championship Show on 10th September 2017 at the College EC, Keysoe, Beds. Qualification cards to be shown in the ring and signed.

SHB(GB) Classes 31-32 and 54-59 are affiliated to the Sports Horse Breeding of GB (SHBGB) and will be judged under the Society’s Rules – see 2017 Rule Book. All horses, Owners and Riders need to be registered with SHB(GB). Classes 32 and 55-59 are qualifying events for the RIHS 2017 and only horses registered on the Show Hunter Register are eligible to enter. Registration numbers must be quoted on entry forms and owners and riders must be members of the Society. The two highest placed horses in each class will qualify for the RIHS. No horse lower than second in its Class will qualify except In the Working Hunter Class where the three highest placed horses will qualify. Day Ticket = £30 (this entitles competitors to compete at a maximum of 1 show in the year – it covers owner and rider membership together with horse registration for that show). If the class is a qualifying class for RIHS, in order for the qualification to be valid, application for full owner/rider membership and horse registration must be received in the SHB(GB) office within 14 days.

BSHA Classes 60-69 will be held under the rules of the British Show Horse Association. Horses must be registered with the Association and all Owners, Exhibitors and Riders must be Association Members. Riders must be 15 years of age or older. Registration numbers must be quoted on entry forms. Classes 61, 62, 64, 65 and 67-69 are qualifiers for The Royal International Horse Show. The first prize winner will qualify to compete at the final. If already qualified the second will qualify, if the first and second are already qualified then the third will go forward. Horses competing at the RIHS and qualifying shows in Hunter sections of The Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain at their Affiliated Shows cannot compete in Hack, Cobs and Riding Horse classes at the same show, on the same day and vice versa. This does not apply to SHB (GB) Ridden Sport Horse classes. The three highest placed prize winners in all Open Affiliated classes will qualify to compete in the BSHA Classic Supreme Classes at the National Championship Show in September 2017. The BSHA offer a Novice, Young Rider and Amateur rosette in each Open class and a Champion rosette for each section. The Association will also award an Amateur Home Produced rosette in all Affiliated Open Cob classes - these rosettes have been kindly sponsored by TSG, Mr L Turley, and the Maxi Cob rosettes have been kindly sponsored by Mr & Mrs E McCourt. The awards will go down the line; there is no limit on how many of these rosettes can be claimed in a year.
