INNOVATIVE PVC MOULDING PROFILES FROM VERSATEX EXPAND OPTIONS IN LOW-MAINTENANCE EXTERIOR TRIM

PITTSBURGH, Dec. 12—Adding new options in function as well as curb appeal for contractors, builders and architects, VERSATEX® Trimboard has just introduced two innovative moulding profiles made from weather-resistant cellular PVC.

Both products, an 8-inch crown moulding and a water-table profile, are compatible with the entire field-tested VERSATEX exterior trim system. “The residential construction industry lets us know what it needs, and we respond as quickly as we can develop a solution that meets VERSATEX standards,” says VERSATEX Vice President of Sales Rick Kapres.

“This 8-inch profile is 25 percent wider than any crown moulding we’ve ever produced,” Mr. Kapres says. “It fills a serious need in large Colonial-style home construction, where customers are looking at a more dramatic statement in their exterior trim.” The VERSATEX water table is an updated, maintenance-free version of a traditional moulding profile used to deflect rainfall and prevent seepage behind trim and siding. Both new products will be available nationwide starting in January, 2013. They match the color and gloss of other VERSATEX architectural elements, which combine the visual appeal and easy workability of milled lumber with indefinite resistance to moisture and insect damage.

“We’ve seen steady growth in demand for PVC products on all kinds of projects,” Mr. Kapres says. “You can cut, drill, nail and glue them like wood, but they stand up to the elements a whole lot longer. And you can combine them in an endless variety of ways for new construction, renovation work, and historic projects.”

VERSATEX Trimboard products are available from fine millwork distributors nationwide. They’re manufactured by Wolfpac Technologies of Pittsburgh, Pa., whose state-of-the-art facility produces cellular PVC trimboards, sheet, beadboard, mouldings and prefabricated corners, as well as the innovative VERSATEX soffit system. VERSATEX products are 100 percent engineered, formulated and manufactured in the U.S.A. For more information, visit www.versatex.com. More information is posted at http://www.versatex.com.
