Aug 18th-22nd- CCESL Pre-Orientation Adventure Program Trip (service sites in Geneva) Aug. 24th –First Year Orientation Day of Service (600 First Years + 100 Orientation Mentors!) Aug. 29th – City Year (AmeriCorps) presentation, Jessica McCue, WS’12, 7pm Trinity 305 Aug. 30th- America Reads and America Counts tutor applications are due (come find us at the CCESL table during Involvement Expo on the Quad!) Sept. 6th Big Brother Big Sister Info. Meeting 5:00 p.m. Trinity 206 ([email protected]) Sept.11th – 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance- Stop by Scandling during lunch/dinner or log onto website to pledge to perform a good deed in observance of 9/11 Sept. 13th - “Justice For All?” Interactive discussion with CC Justice and Peace Coordinator Laurie Konwinski (4pm Seneca Room – Next to Leadership Center on South Main St.) Sept. 20h and 21st- 11am-5pm Finger Lakes Cork and Fork, Seneca Falls Sept. 21st- Poster session (Family weekend - come see what 10 Summer AmeriCorps members did over 3,000 hours in Geneva during the summer) Sept. 26th- Pizza with Peace Corps- Trinity 305 @ 7pm Sept. 28th - Boys & Girls Club- Day for Kids Sake 1-3pm Oct. 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31stThursdays from 9am-1pm at Community Lunch Program, First United Methodist Church, 340 Main Street (email [email protected] to sign up for a 1+ hour shift) Oct. 15th – 150 sixth graders from Geneva Middle School visit as part of Geneva 2020 initiative Oct. 19th - Day of Service - “Celebrate Service, Celebrate Geneva Annual Day of Service” Oct. 22nd - AmeriCorps Information Session 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in Demarest 14 Oct. 31st - American Red Cross Blood Drive- 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. in the Barn on St. Clair Street Nov. 19th - Alternative Spring Break info session 7-9 pm – Trinity 305 Applications here
