9:15-9:25 PM. Committee Introductions and Updates 1. Law Center Affairs a. Clinics and Externships: Varoon Modak b. Registrar: Daniel Smith c. Technology: Tiffany Li c.i. Faculty talking about iTunes U but some against expanding online presence so can’t do anything until have Georgetown policy c.ii. Outline bank has had some technical issues c.iii. Open Forum online, looking at doing it with outline bank d. OCS: Zach Bench d.i. Career Services met with Dean Shannon and Moulton 2. ABA Rep: Alexa Sendukas a. Race, Sexuality, and Gender symposium next week 3. Campus Services: Alexis Kellert a. Shaun – a lot of issues that have come up and will be undertaken for the spring 4. Elections: Christopher Morgan-Riess 5. Social: Alexa Sendukas and Andrew Adelman 6. Special Events: Ashley Binetti and Jessica Montello a. Deposit made to Mayflower. 9:25-9:35 PM. Open Forum 1. Sarah – email issues. IST working on it, issues with gmail users sending out to law center. 2. Monique – speed dating for law students. Social committee 3. Mike C. – bikes being stolen. 4. Gary, 1L visitor – bike racks, need to know where want them. 9:35-9:50 PM. Resolutions; Debate; Vote 1. Resolution 2012-2013-17: Recognizing the Altruistic Efforts of the LL.M. Class in Winning the SBA Thanksgiving Food Drive a. Phil – a lot of food donated b. Shaun – should we do this every year, who can we delegate this to c. Alexa - friendly amendment to add about keg d. Passed unanimously 2. Resolution 2012-2013-18: Endorsement of a Congressional Clerkship Program a. Shows that Georgetown supports it. Detailed in HR-1374, Reid and Yvatt here to describe the history of it and why we should support. b. Elizabeth – added the new Whereas clause and very excited about this because has Hill experience. c. Passed unanimously 3. Resolution 2012-2013-19: First-year grade release policy a. Daniel – would start in the spring/summer because grade notifications on my access isn’t available yet b. Parker – so it’s the same class for all of the sections, like all sections get Con Law at the same time instead of all of one section getting Con Law one day and one section getting Con Law the next day? Yes. c. Debate ensued – went very fast. d. Parker – proposed amendment to making grades come out per section as opposed to across the sections. d.i. Amendment fails. e. Resolution passes. 9:50 PM.
