1. To describe the changing demographics of the U.S. prison population and how changes in the criminal justice system are contributing to the increasing age of prisoners 2. To become familiar with the history of prison healthcare in the United States 3. To identify ways that the aging of the prisoner population affects non-prison healthcare providers
