1996 – 1998 United States Enrichment Corporation Quality Specialist  Researched and identified NQA-1 requirements mandated by the transition of regulatory authority from the Department of Energy to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission  Analyzed the facility Quality Assurance Plan, the Radioactive Material Packaging/Transportation Quality Assurance Program, and the Material Safeguards program to assure that applicable NQA-1 requirements were adequately integrated into facility work processes

1991 – 1996 Los Alamos Technical Associates Senior Engineer  Provided quality assurance services to the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), including the Yucca Mountain High-Level Waste Repository Site Characterization Project (YMP), the Environmental Restoration (ER) Program, and the Omega III research reactor  Consulted with scientists regarding the effective application of requirements and successfully integrated an NQA-1 quality system into research programs for the YMP  Key contributor in the development and subsequent NRC/DOE acceptance of the LANL YMP NQA-1 quality program

1986 – 1989 Tennessee Valley Authority Program Manager  Directed a Corporate management team tasked with the standardization and improvement of institutional programs associated with the construction and modification of nuclear power plants

1983 – 1986 River Bend Nuclear Plant Quality Engineer  Directed the performance of quality program audits of facility construction, operation, and various contractor activities  Performed readiness reviews prior to start-up to verify compliance with plant technical specifications  Developed and implemented a plant-wide problem reporting/corrective action system

1971 – 1983 Tennessee Valley Authority Various positions  Served as Records Management Group Leader, Quality Control Group Leader, Technical Services Manager, and Document Control Manager during construction of the Brown’s Ferry Nuclear Plant and the Hartsville Nuclear Plant.
