There's trouble in River City when a fast-talking salesman gets his heart stolen by the town librarian in this adaptation of the Tony Award-winning Broadway classic. Master showman Harold Hill is in town and he’s got “seventy-six trombones” in tow. Can upright, uptight Marian, the town librarian, resist his powerful allure? The story follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize. The catch? He doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, whose belief in Harold’s power just might help him succeed in the end in spite of himself.

FOR PARENTS: Our youth theatre (which includes the production team) is operated with volunteers and parents are expected to help out. This is a requirement for participation in our youth theatre!! There is a MANDATORY parent meeting at the first rehearsal/read-thru that all parents must attend. Be prepared to sign-up for your parent volunteer duties at that time. Parents are required to help chaperone during one rehearsal and one performance-minimum. When all parents participate it works out that you need to chaperone only twice during the workshop. Parents will also be required to help out with other volunteer positions such as set building, concessions, hair/make-up, props, costumes, fundraising events, etc. Parents should be prepared to sign-up for chaperone dates/times and volunteer duties at first rehearsal. Parents will be given all information for tickets, activities, and other events far in advance. Contact information is provided for any questions you may have at anytime. It is also imperative that your child be picked up from rehearsals in a timely fashion. We know that it is inconvenient for you when rehearsals run late but we will not leave a child at the theatre alone and would appreciate that everyone’s time is respected. Parents Set Strike is Sunday, July 31st.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO ANOTHER GREAT SHOW!
