MAJR_CODE = First Major numeric code (from table STVMAJR); e.g., 0100 = Elementary Education General MAJR_DESC = First Major name (from STVMAJR) DEPT_CODE1 = Department code for first major (from table STVDEPT); e.g. EDU = Education This is a very good way to pull all majors in a given department!!! e.g., using DEPT_CODE1 = EDU will bring in all elementary, childhood, junior high extension, etc. majors. MAJR_CODE2 = Second Major numeric code (from STVMAJR) MAJR_DESC2 = Second Major name (from STVMAJR) DEPT_CODE2 = Department code for second major (from STVDEPT)

Minors (from table STVMAJR)

MAJR_CODE_MINOR_1 = First Minor number code MAJR_DESC_MINOR_1 = First minor name MAJR_CODE_MINOR_1_2 = Second minor number code MAJR_DESC_MINOR_1_2 = Second minor name

Unlike majors, minors do not have “DEPT” codes; the numeric codes from STVMAJR must be entered for each minor.

Concentrations (from STVMAJR – for selected graduate programs in Education)

MAJR_CODE_CONCENTRATION_1 = numeric code MAJR_DESC_CONCENTRATION_1 = concentration name

COLLEGE (from STVCOLL - available for primary major programs only) COLL_CODE = Code for major programs e.g. AH = Arts and Humanities COLL_DESC = Name of dean’s area for major programs

GRADE POINT AVERAGE, CREDIT HOURS EARNED, etc. – This information is for the student’s current level – UG (undergraduate) or GR (graduate). It is available for: Institutional (cr. hrs. attempted, earned, gpa, etc.) Transfer (credit hours earned only) Overall (Institutional plus Transfer)

Notes: “Institutional” and “Overall” data are exactly the same, except for hours earned – “Overall” hours earned include transferred credit hours.

All information is “term specific,” and includes all information as of the end of a semester. Accordingly, for current semesters, the grade point average is the g.p.a. calculated for the immediate preceding semester.

The difference between ‘LGPA_HOURS_EARNED(or PASSED)’ and ‘LGPA_HOURS’ is that ‘LGPA_HOURS’ exclude courses with grades of “P/F” (pass/fail) or “S/U” (satisfactory/unsatisfactory) which are not used in the GPA calculation.

INST_LGPA_HOURS_ATTEMPTED = Institutional Cr. Hrs. attempted INST_LGPA_HOURS_EARNED = Institutional Cr. Hrs. earned INST_LGPA_HOURS_PASSED = Institutional Cr. Hrs. passed (same as earned) INST_LGPA_QUALITY_POINTS = Institutional quality points (for GPA calculation) INST_LGPA_HOURS = Institutional Cr. Hrs. (for GPA calculation) INST_LGPA_GPA= Institutional Grade Point Average (calculated from INST_LGPA_QUALITY_POINTS/INST_LGPA_HOURS) TRANSFER_LGPA_HOURS_EARNED = All transfer credit hours OVERALL_LGPA_HOURS_ATTEMPTED = Credit hours attempted OVERALL_LGPA_HOURS_EARNED = Cr. Hrs. earned (institutional and transferred) OVERALL_LGPA_HOURS_PASSED = Cr. Hrs. passed (same as institutional earned)M OVERALL_LGPA_QUALITY_POINTS = Quality Points for GPA calculation OVERALL_LGPA_HOURS = Cr. Hrs. used for GPA calculation OVERALL_LGPA_GPA = Overall Grade Point Average

MISCELLANEOUS

ACTIVITY CODES currently used for Intercollegiate athletic teams (from SGASPRT)

ADDITIONAL_SPORTS_IND ‘Y’ = Yes ‘N’ = No

‘Y’ indicates that the student is participating in an NCAA-recognized intercollegiate sport – this information is term specific. Check SGASPRT for more information (names of specific team sports).

HOLDS are current financial obligations to the college (from SOAHOLD) Report will include up to 4 holds; beyond that ADDITIONAL_HOLDS_IND = “Y” and you must check in SOAHOLD. This has not happened at Fredonia thus far!
