Information for the conference participants

Venue The conference will take place in the main auditorium (Assembly hall) of the University of Cyprus, at 75 Kallipoleos Avenue in Nicosia.

Arrival and Departure Travellers to the Republic of Cyprus may enter only through the legal points of entry: Larnaca and Paphos International Airports, or the Larnaca and Limassol ports. It is suggested that you use the Larnaca International Airport which is the closest airport to Nicosia (49 km).

Getting to Nicosia Because Nicosia does not have an airport, you will have to fly in to Larnaca Airport which lies about 60 kilometres to the south-east of Nicosia. To get to Nicosia you can take a bus (Kapnos Airport Shuttle) which will drop you off at the center of the town where you can take a taxi to your hotel. The bus faire will cost 7 euros and you may need an additional 7-10 euros for the taxi (from the bus stop to your hotel). For more information and timetables refer to the website: http://www.kapnosairportshuttle.com You can also take a taxi but this will cost 45 to 60 euro. There is a taxi stand as you come out of the arrivals’ hall.

1 Accommodation Information You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements to/from Nicosia and for booking your own accommodation. Please note that the conference organizers CANNOT make accommodation bookings on your behalf, provide travel advice or arrange your travel for you. However, special rates have been arranged for conference participants. Below you will find the prices for the hotels and links to their websites in order to get more information and proceed with your booking. Make sure to state that you are participating in the conference in order to benefit from the special prices.

Please consult the reception at your hotel for directions about getting from the hotel to the conference venue. All the hotels are situated near a bus stop or within walking distance (10-30 minutes maximum from the University of Cyprus (Kallipoleos Avenue).

2 Conference timetable (This is a provisional timetable; please check the website for updates) The Conference will take place from the 18th to the 19th of November 2011. The conference will start at 17:00 on the Friday, 18th of November (registration from 16.00) and it will finish at 17:45 on Saturday 19th of June.
