5 | P a g e Installation:

1. Identify a suitable location for the unit downstream from the 'A' coil in the supply plenum, and downstream from the air filter. 2. Determine the type of duct you have 3. Apply supplied stick mounting template to air duct in either a vertical or horizontal position as shown and so that the long side of the rectangle is perpendicular to the direction of the air flow.

4. Drill 1/8 inch diameter mounting holes at positions indicated on template.

5. Cut out rectangular hole on template using a pair of tin snips or jigsaw. 6. Mount the unit base to the duct using the eight (8) mounting screws provided. 7. Plug ballast plug into end of lamp. 8. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. 9. Look through view port in the box cover to be sure lamp is working. You should see a blue glow. 10. Loosen the 4 thumbscrews on the sail frame and gently insert the DHP sail. 11. After the DHP sail has been inserted tighten the 4 thumbscrews on the sail frame and slide the frame into place 12. Insert the final 2 thumbscrews into sail frame base until the sail frame is secure.

If the lamp is not glowing, follow steps 8-9 again. If lamp still does not glow, contact technical support at 802-375-2511 for further assistance

Contact LAMS or Mack for warranty information.

Getting the most from your DHP System:

The DHP system is easy to use. Make sure your unit is the proper size for your HVAC system and for the square footage you wish to cover in your home. In some cases multiple DHP units may be necessary. Be sure to change the Sail according to the recommended replacement schedule.

Close your windows Simple logic would tell you not to run your HVAC system with the windows open and expect it will work with the same efficiency as if they are closed. Even though you cannot see the contaminated air coming in and the disinfected air going out through the windows, the same logic applies to DHP.

Close your doors Just like keeping your windows closed to retain the disinfected air, doors that remain open will also act as a pathway for clean air to escape and new contaminated air to enter your home.

Run your DHP 24 hours a day For optimal results, run your DHP unit 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Continuous operation will ensure that a non-stop stream of bacteria- fighting air will circulate throughout your home. DHP technology uses approximately the same amount of power as a single 40 watt lightbulb.

8 | P a g e Safety Considerations: Designed for use in a closed duct system. Do not mount near a return air opening. Please read, understand, and follow all the safety information contained in these instructions prior to use of the DHP system. Retain these instructions for future reference. Except for SAIL replacement, bulb replacement, ballast replacement, and screw replacement the DHP system is not intended to be serviced and does not contain any serviceable replacement parts or adjustments. To reduce risk associated with hazard voltage, and/or fire: • Plug the DHP system into a properly rated electrical outlet.

9 | P a g e To reduce the risk associated with hazardous voltage, and/or fire, and/or explosion: • Do not use any combustible or flammable items on or near the DHP system. • Do not spill or spray any liquids or aerosols into the DHP system or on the filter.
