June 3 (Wednesday) 12:00pm-4:00pm, check-out school owned instruments at the MHS band hall June 2 and 3 9:00am-12:00pm, 1:30pm-4:00pm, Drumline rehearsal. Senior high school drumline only

July 4 9:00am, Fourth of July Children’s Parade. Senior high drum line only July 5-17 WTAMU Band Camp

July 27,28,29,30,31 Colorguard rehearsal from 9:00am-12:00pm each day July 27,28,29,30,31 9:00am-12:00pm, 1:30pm-4:00pm, All percussion rehearsal (Pit, Battery, Freshman and Senior HS July 29, 30 Senior High School Band officers meeting, 1:30pm-4:00pm

July 31 (Friday) Freshman band students meet at Midland HS in the band hall for marching band fundamentals practice. 9:00am-2:00pm, wear tennis shoes. We will feed you pizza for lunch.

August 3 (Monday) Summer Band Begins for everyone. Summer band rehearsals will be from 8:00am-11:30am and 1:30pm-4:00pm, all at Midland HS. August 3 Parent/Student Meeting in the Midland HS Auditorium. 6:00pm-8:30pm. (Yes, this is a long meeting, but we have a lot to cover in this meeting) August 3,4,5,6,7,10,11,12,13,14, 17 - Summer Band rehearsals, 8:00am-11:30pm and 1:30pm-4:00pm August 18,19,20, 21 Summer Band rehearsals from 5:30pm-9:15pm, all at MHS August 24 (Monday) Practice at Grande Communications Stadium 5:30pm-9:15pm August 25 (Tuesday) Practice at MHS 5:30pm-7:30pm (School starts on the next day)

Attendance at all summer band rehearsals is required for all students.

August 26 School Starts August 27 (Thursday) 7:00pm - MHS v. Keller HS at Grande. We will perform at this game. August 31 (Monday) Begin normal weekly rehearsal schedule Monday – 6:30pm-9:00pm at Grande or at MHS Tuesday – 4:30pm-6:30pm at MHS Wednesday – no rehearsal Thursday – 4:30pm-6:30pm at MHS Friday – games

September 4 7:30pm,MHS v. El Paso Montwood at Grande. We will perform at this game September 7 Labor Day, no school, no rehearsal September 12 (Saturday) 5:00pm, MHS v. LD Bell HS at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. We may or may not travel to this game. We will know for sure in August. September 18 7:00pm - MHS v. El Paso Franklin in El Paso. We will probably not travel to this game. That is why we have scheduled the summer band concert here. September 18 (Friday) Summer Band Concert at Midland Memorial Stadium September 25 7:30pm – MHS v. Amarillo HS in Amarillo. We may or may not travel to this game. We will know for sure in August. September 26 This will probably be the WTAC competition date (percussion pit and battery percussion only) in Lubbock all day.

October 2 End of 1st six week grading period. Everyone must pass to be eligible for UIL region marching contest. October 2 Open Date, no football game, but we may practice on this afternoon. October 3 West Texas Tournament of Bands in Midland, afternoon and evening. October 3 SAT Testing Date October 7 MISD 6th Grade Marching Festival at Grande, in the morning during school. October 7 Student early release day, 2 hours early October 8 Homecoming Parade and pep rally October 9 7:30pm, MHS v. Odessa HS at Grande - Homecoming October 10 We are going to go to a marching contest on this date, probably in Pecos or San Angelo. October 16 7:30pm, MHS v. San Angelo Central in San Angelo. We will travel to this game. October 17 UIL Marching Contest, Region 6, Ratliff Stadium in Odessa. Afternoon and evening. Very important date!!! October 23 End of the 3 week grading period. October 23 7:30pm, MHS v. Odessa Permian at Grande. October 30 7:30pm, MHS v. Abilene HS in Abilene. We will travel to this game. October 31 SAT Testing Date November 6 7:30pm, MHS v. Lee HS, at Grande. MHS is the home team. Senior Night. November 6 End of the 2nd six week grading period. You must be eligible to audition for the all-region band in December. November 13-14 Possible playoff game November 20-21 Possible Playoff game November 23-27 Thanksgiving holiday November 27, 28 Possible playoff game

June 3 Last day of classes June 4 Graduation performance, 10:00am ceremony
