From the Desk of the Principal: October will be full of learning opportunities for our teachers and staff. This week Thursday, our Learning Support Team members will be attending a literacy training provided by the Office of Schools for the Archdiocese. Following that, our students are off on Friday, October 9th, but the teachers will be hard at work attending an EdCamp event at the new St. Francis Borgia School in Cedarburg with the schools in our district. Later in the month our staff will attend our second Sustaining the Mission training. These classes help the DSCS staff learn more about our precious Catholic faith so that we are better able to share that faith with our students and school community. This week our staff will help our students learn about two important feast days - the feast of St. Francis of Assisi and the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. In honor of St. Francis of Assisi our students will be making chew toys for the dogs at the Humane Society. I look forward to seeing all of you at our annual Dinner Auction on Saturday! I know the auction committee has a fabulous evening planned. Yours in Faith, Lynn Sauer
PICTURE DAY is Tuesday, October 6th. Order forms are due tomorrow. Pictures begin at 8:30 am and should be completed by 10:00am.
