Contract position thru IT Workforce Solutions at Covington Campus. I worked in the Investor Center Lab. My primary responsibility was to interact and communicate directly with company employees, perform standard PC Refreshes, and work on the desktop to laptop migration project (AKA The Rep Mobility Project).
Refreshed PCs to Windows 7 and configured computers to ensure they had updated security features, time zones, BIOS, and others. Installed applications based and the type of services the employee performed and the instructions supplied. Tested newly configured computers for appropriate functionality and troubleshoot for any errors found. Troubleshoot malfunctioning units and worked with Lead Technicians on difficult to solve problems or configurations.

The primary focus of the program was scripting, networking and security, set up and monitoring servers, and basic web site construction. The program concentrated on using Linux, Windows 7, and Cisco operating systems in an enterprise level virtual environment.
School projects: Networked host computers to a single server for LDAP authorization, authentication, Sendmail, and NFS services. Set up and configured ‘monit’ software to monitor entire network. Set up and configured SSH, DHCP, and other servers. Set up and configured apache web servers to run multiple sites. Servers were configured to accept both http, https traffic using SSL.
