Each section starts a new page. When writing the report use third person narrative. Do not use I, use names. (Carley will be in charge of marketing and Glen sales…)

3. Executive Summary (Write this section last, this is page 1) a. What is your mission statement? b. What is the history behind the idea? c. What is the type of organization? 4. Management A. Give a brief summary of everyone who is part of your management team. Write one paragraph for each member of the Management team including you. B. This means all FREE help you get to start/run your business too (your mom, friends, etc.). C. Use full names. Write out or design a “STRUCTURAL TREE” to aid the explanation.

5. Market Research A. Customer Profile: Who is my target market? B. Competition: Who am I competing with? C. Where are my competitors? D. How is the organization’s industry doing? E. What is the industry size? F. Do a SWOT analysis. What are our strengths? What are our weaknesses? What kind of opportunities do we have? What are the threats we are facing in the industry? 6. Marketing Mix (be very detailed in your description of the Four P’s) A. Product: Describe your product or service. Its uniqueness, specialties and ways it will stand out. B. Price: How much will you charge for your product/service? How does it compare to your competitors? High Quality higher price? Cheaper than competitors Same price as competitors? Why did you fix your price at that particular level in comparison to your competitors? C. Promotion: How will you promote your product/service? Poster Brochures Flyers Radio Newspaper Signs, Email, Text Other Promotional items Internet/ web site/facebook etc How could you use viral marketing? What are the costs associated with the above promotional plans? Call / Search for prices What will make the customers use your product/service and not the competitors? Where do I need to advertise, for the best response? Have I considered where my target audience will see my promotional materials? D. Place: Where will you locate? And how much is rent/lease? Will your target market be able to find you? Will I go web and virtual only? 7. Suppliers & Employees  List all suppliers that you will be using to purchase inventory & materials.  List all employees including you and give hourly wage details ($/hr. and number of hours worked) A. Who will supply the materials need to make the products/render the service? B. What costs are associated with materials supply? C. Will there be transportation costs? D. Will the company have employees? E. How much will they be paid? 8. Operations If you are selling items you produce, what is your production schedule? (timelines) As orders come? Batch Production? How will I assure quality service? 9. Financial Plan A. What are my start-up costs? B. Where will I get funding? C. Bank loans & programs D. How much can I obtain? E. How will I allocate it? F. Statement of Cash Flow and Cash Flow notes 10. Appendix May include logo, resume, advertising ideas, photos, letters of support, Questionnaires and responses from Questionnaires.
