Outcome: I can tell the characters, setting, and what happens in a story, I can use and recognize rhyming words, I can use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to compose opinion pieces in which they tell a reader about the topic or book, I can ask questions in order to seek help, and I can count and divide words into syllables.

EQ: How do school children work and play together?
Before Strategy: Choral Response- children will answer questions in the teacher’s edition Reading Street book for Unit 1 Week 2.
During Strategy: Hand Signals and Observation- going by prompts in the Reading Street teacher’s edition.
After Strategy: Small group observations.
Active Engagement: Talk, Investigate, Listen.
Assessment: Observation, Worksheet, Anecdotal Records.
