…who wish to add an appropriate “personalized” touch to their giving – as an individual or as a group – the library has an answer.

A gift to the Highland Township Public Library’s collection is one of the most satisfying ways of insuring that your gift will live, will be cared for, and will continue to be used. It can reflect the taste of the giver or, in the case of memorials, of the individual in whose memory it is given. It provides an excellent way for an organization to help the community with books or materials in the fields in which it is specially interested.

For example, a history-minded person might increase the library’s holdings in the field of history, biographies, maps and pictures.

If you do not wish to designate a specific subject, you can make your contribution in general for the purchase of books.

A book gift to the library need not be necessarily an “in memoriam.” It can be – and has been – given to commemorate an occasion, a birthday, anniversary, or other milestone.

Acknowledgement goes to the donor and to the person, or the family of the person being honored, and a bookplate is placed in the gift book.
