Rally Sunday: August 28 is the approved date for a Student Led Service and an intergenerational Sunday School hour. There will be a puppet show during the Worship Service. The music will be made largely of VBS and other SS songs. We will follow the basic flow of the bulletins for the service order. Judi will be in contact with the parents to find out what children are able to participate in the service. The scriptures might be changed from the usual lectionary (???) Intergenerational Sunday School following the Student Led Worship Service: Introduce Teachers/Students/What will be studied during the year (Include adults and Youth) Mixer (Judi) Prayer Partners/Sponsor: Jody will make a sheet with student names on them for adults to sign up next to each child. https://heraldmagazine.wordpress.com/2012/04/25/connecting-kids-adults- through-prayer/ Other: Signal for children to leave as a freeze in crazy positions game. Non participants select the craziest position for the prize of clapping/cheering or a piece of candy. Crystal will provide a cowbell for this game and as the signal for students to leave to go to Sunday School/Opening Other Weekend VBS: Michelle will look at the curriculum and make her suggestion for a date and curriculum to order?

Christmas Program: Michelle is looking into possible programs. The suggested program date is the second Sunday in December (December 11, a non communion Sunday)

Pastor Mark presented the AWANA program as a possible youth program. The available nights would be Monday or Thursday, Monday being the most available due to already scheduled church meetings. After much discussion it was decided that yes we do need a program for our youth, but there were concerns about some doctrine in the faith statement for AWANA.

Our next meeting will be September 7 at 7pm.
