1. Describe the traditional education of Mi’kmaq children. Who was responsible for the education and where did it take place? Include the differences for boys and girls.

3. Explain the impact of residential schools on Mi’kmaq children. Provide examples of how they were treated, and how they were changed when they went back to the reserve.

4. Read the following quotation. Explain what the government and Mi’kmaq communities are doing now to provide culturally appropriate support and education for Mi’kmaq youth. (Include all relevant organizations, programs, pre-school, post-secondary etc)
