NOTICE OF ATHLETIC VACANCY HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS

POSITION: Varsity Boys Track Head Coach Varsity Girls Track Head Coach

EMPLOYMENT DATE: 2017-2018 Academic Year

JOB SUMMARY: The head coach is responsible for planning, directing and leading an education based athletic program that seeks to develop athletes of empathy and integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Must complete the coaches certification courses provided by the National Federation and required by the IHSAA. 2. Experience coaching in an Education Based athletic program required. 3. Certified teacher preferred. 4. Playing and/or coaching experience preferred.

REPORTS TO: High School Athletic Director

JOB GOALS: To accept the responsibility of the program and work with the students/athletes in the sport assigned and to provide life lessons that will positively impact the Northeastern High School

physical, social and emotional well being of all who are involved.

TRAITS: An effective coach demonstrates a high degree of empathy, positivity, trust, responsibility, discipline, and flexibility. Is a developer, teacher, achiever, and problem solver.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide instruction; plan, coordinate, and coach respective sport. Develop, supervise, and administrate boys and/or girls track program throughout the corporation.
