PRESS RELEASE 10 September 2012 e.surv first to launch Landmark Quest’s Q-Mobile tablet solution Mobile data capture enables surveyors to complete site-notes on the move, while improving valuation audit, productivity and driving standardisation across the business

Landmark Quest, a leading provider of risk management, mobile solutions and bespoke software for lenders and surveyors, has today announced that the UK’s largest provider of residential valuation services, e.surv Chartered Surveyors, has adopted its new Quest Q-Mobile intelligent property data capture solution. A structured roll-out of the new mobile solution is underway, with all of e.surv’s 365 surveyors anticipated to be using Q-Mobile via Tablet devices by early 2013.

Commenting on the launch of Q-Mobile across the e.surv business, Alison Traversoni, Executive Director of LSL Property Services with responsibility for its surveying division confirmed, “After the successful pilot phase, we are pleased to be fully launching the Q-Mobile data capture solution and tablet devices to electronically capture the data for all valuation instructions, including site-notes. Technology is today portable, connectivity has advanced, pricing isn’t a barrier, availability has improved and so now is the time for our industry to be moving into its new digital phase; and I am pleased that e.surv is the first to fully adopt Q-Mobile.”

Landmark Quest’s Q-Mobile is an intelligent property data capture solution that aims to replace manual, paper-based mortgage valuation forms for the residential surveying market. The secure software, used in conjunction with a mobile tablet device, improves workflow and creates efficiencies whilst onsite providing access to electronic comparables and other useful supporting data. It also significantly improves audit capabilities, minimises human error and reduces the amount of printed documentation required for each valuation instruction. Q-Mobile has been designed to look like Quest’s DataWeb solution, which is the PC-based system that e.surv’s surveyors have been using to input their valuation data in the office to date, therefore making inputting intuitive for experienced surveyors. Continues Alison Traversoni, “There are a number of factors as to why we have invested in Q- Mobile. Firstly, the task of undertaking valuations has become complex – we have high demands on quality standards. In a bid to drive standardisation and improve quality across the board, the Q-Mobile solution is an ideal choice, as it ensures consistent site note validation and reporting of all valuations and has a layer of intelligence to query any potential errors or omissions, before the report is completed.”

David Wareing, a chartered surveyor from e.surv added, “If I was asked the question ‘would you go back to pen and paper?’ the answer would be ‘absolutely not’! I have been using Q-Mobile since the pilot started and find it provides a number of time savings that add up during the course of the day. The system automatically calculates rebuild costs and floor areas, it also lets me access comparable data while I’m at the property so I don’t have to do this on returning to the office at the end of the day. Ultimately, it provides the ability to now sign-off many reports whilst on-site, which has not been possible before.”

Reflecting on the benefits Q-Mobile will deliver, Alison Traversoni said, “We are already witnessing surveyors achieving work life balance gains, as now at the end of the day, the surveyor’s work is done; it means they can check emails, run queries, obtain comparables while they have spare time in their cars. The car becomes their office and the benefit is they are working smarter, plus there is a reduced chance of errors due to the system helping pick-up missing elements. Put simply, our surveyors are more productive during the standard working day. It really is a major advancement for e.surv and going back to paper and pen would be a retrograde step and so will not happen. Both e.surv and Quest are leaders in the market, and together we are showcasing how the future of valuation reporting will look via Q-Mobile.”

Concludes Mark Milner, Managing Director of Landmark Quest: “The controlled roll-out of Q- Mobile is going extremely well and we have received positive feedback from e.surv’s surveyors to date. By working with Q-Mobile, the organisation is already benefiting from the ability to complete site-notes electronically and enforce standards on site. It also means e.surv’s surveyors now have the option to ‘sign off’ completed valuations while on site for some valuations. Another advantage is that it integrates with existing systems and processes and so helps increase overall productivity, which is a benefit for e.surv, its clients and its workforce.” For further information regarding Landmark Quest, telephone 0844 844 9969 or visit www.questuk.com. -ends- Notes to Editors: Photos are available on request
