SGA Executive Staff Meeting Agenda November 7th, 2013 @ 6:00pm SRC 107 Meeting Leader: Ashley Logsdon Minute Keeper: Claire Reynolds I. Call to Order II. Roll Call III. TFF Mentors (Amanda) -How to mentor your TFF -Share information and duties -Invite TFF to meetings and keep them updated -Drew and Claire are the best mentors -Maybe the TFFs should have office hours, but it is hard to keep them accountable and keep track IV. Old Business -SRC Opening Day -What was supposed to happen? -we were supposed to promote SGA and SGA’s involvment in the creation of the SRC -What did happen? -We had a small group and were there for a little less than two hours -3 Sustains -Still have the big SGA Board -People really liked the water bottles, things that pertains to working out -Didn’t overwhelm the space with too many people -3 Improves -We need to be more sociable and let people know why we are there -be more connected with the SRC and less focus on what we do -the board is boring V. New Business - End of Semester Reviews (Alex) coming up, review with both Alex and Carrie. Talk about what you did or what you should have done - Bonuses and pay -Retiton whether or not we will stay on for next semester -Office TV guidelines the tv is up. We have apple tv. The remotes will be in Alex’s office and you will have to check them in or out. We can turn it on when we are in the office, we need to be aware of the volume, 15 is the max volume. If we have problems with it, it will be taken away. HDMI cable needs to stay hooked up. I recently has been loud and obnoxious. The main office area is for all students, but the director’s suite is specifically for SGA staff members. So not leave your guests in there alone. If someone you don’t know walks into the office, ask them if you can help them. If you leave the director’s suite, shut and lock the door -Staff Updates and Discussion (15 Min) Communications- Setting up the Apple Tv, filmed an informational tour of the SRC, meeting with Top four, ELSB, and SAB for crad cast, student of the month is up on the website Tori- Student of the Month was picked at the APV meeting. Focusing on the Library this year, trying to extend library hours; proposing a student fee to help pay for extending the library hours. Maybe we could use Strickler for study hours-cheaper than extending library hours. Maybe using motion sensing lights in the library to save money. Trying to make it possible for groups to reserve study rooms. SGA Academic event next semester Bryson- attending the 2020 and Budget evaluation meetings. SGA, ELSB, and SAB trying to work out budget Chase- CIA application went out last week, wait for rest of applications and plan for interviews. Look into getting a CardsInAction@uoflsga account. Katie (TFF)- Working on Impact projects, Saturday-Elect Her 10:30-4. Last meeting was Monday 28th-Sustainability. Next meeting is this Thursday. Reflections are due on the TFF page on Facebook Athletics- getting Athletic Council applications review, got Cardinal Captains approved-come up with themes, can get philanthropy involved. Talk to organizations that athletic council applications are going out soon. Not too many problems with the new ticketing systems Jarel- began a Green Fund Spirit Committee, Bike Sustainability Event-Floyd Theatre. The number one thing being stolen on campus are bikes and computers VI. Ongoing Issues for Discussion -Staff Office Hours edit office hours to make sure they are correct. We now have a log to fill out when we are in the office. This system is in place until a more efficient method can be established VII. Announcements -Submit Student of the Month Nominations(Tori Seasor)+ -November Student of the Month TFFs worked with marketing to get the word out about Student of the Month and distributed flyers, posted on Facebook and Twitter. Working on modifying the application because it is very extensive. VIII.
