Nancy McKay Lorenz and Richard W. Lorenz Scholarship

Nancy McKay Lorenz was on the task force that created the Thomas I. Atkins Living Learning Center in 1994, and has served as the Residential Fellow for the Center since that time. Her husband, Richard W. Lorenz, joined her as an Atkins Residential Fellow in 2001. The Lorenz’s purpose is twofold: to support the mission of the Atkins LLC, and to honor the memory of Thomas I. Atkins through the residential study of African American history and culture, community service, and the academic pursuits and successes of the Atkins LLC students. The award of $500 is for an Atkins LLC member who returns to the community the following year.
