Amaranthus Grand Chapter 2412 Ames Avenue Omaha, Ne 68111 Scholarship Application Guidelines Background:

The Amaranthus Grand Chapter Scholarship is awarded to assist students who will be attending college full time in defraying the cost of continued education. The major criteria for obtaining an award will be financial need and scholastic achievement. Leadership qualities and community involvement shall be considered.

Eligibility and General Information:

1. Applicants must be a graduating senior or a college student attending an accredited college or university. 2. The scholarship is a cash award payable to the recipient or to a college/university of the recipient’s designation. The amount and number of awards will vary depending upon available monies. 3. High School seniors must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 and college students must maintain a GPA of 3.0 4. All applicants must be enrolled in a college/university before the scholarship money is released.

Application Procedures:

In order to be considered for the Amaranthus Grand Chapter Scholarship, an applicant must comply with all application procedures.

1. The application must be completed in its entirety. 2. The applicant must submit a two page double space essay explaining The Importance of Continued Education. 3. The applicant must submit their high school or college transcripts in a sealed envelope. a. Two letters of recommendation from a counselor, teacher, school official or community leader. Letters of recommendation, Essays, Official transcripts and scholarship application shall be submitted simultaneously. b. Unofficial transcripts will not be accepted and will automatically disqualify your application. c. Applications post marked after the March 30 deadline will not be considered.
