Due to retiral Crewe Medical Centre is looking to recruit a suitably qualified, experienced and motivated GP who is enthusiastic in providing high quality health care. Partnership is available; however a salaried position is an option, for the right candidate, if preferred.

Located in North West Edinburgh Crewe Medical Centre covers the Pilton/Granton area of Edinburgh and provides healthcare services to the local population. We are a well established, friendly and supportive practice offering a full range of services within QOF to our patients as well as most of the Enhanced Services, with the exception of extended hours. There is no OOH or Care Home commitment. Special services offered include minor surgery; travel advice and immunisations; smoking cessation; alcohol counselling and welfare benefits advice.

Our current list size is approx 8650 and the practice continues to register patients within the boundary area. There practice currently has 4 Partners working between 7-8 sessions per week, supported by 2 salaried GPs working 6 sessions each. Our patients nursing needs are met by 3 Practice Nurses and 1 HCA. Our Health visiting team is based on site and our DN team visit daily.

The practice offers a full complement of support staff including:

Practice Development Manager (responsible for the management and coordination all aspects of the practice’s day-to-day business, motivating and managing staff, optimising efficiency and financial performance, and ensuring the practice achieves its long-term strategies) Assistant Practice Manager (responsibility for the operational day to day running of the practice) Senior Data Administrator (responsibility for QOF; Finance and IT) Medical Secretary Data Administrator Receptionists

The practice has consistently high QOF attainment, operating EMIS clinical system and Docman. We continue to be engaged in the NW 17c project work.

We are a training practice for FY2, ST1 and ST3 and 2 with approved trainers.
