Florida-Georgia Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation in Science, Engineering and Mathematics at Florida International University

The FGLSAMP Scholarship program at FIU has several undergraduate scholarships available every Fall and Spring. Scholarships in the amount of $750 per term, totaling $1,500 per year. Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to participate in the Annual FGLSAMP EXPO.

You must be a fully admitted undergraduate student at FIU majoring in: Electrical Eng, Civil Eng, Mechanical Eng, Computer Eng, Biomedical Eng, Industrial Systems Eng, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Chemistry, Math, Statistics, Physics, Biology, Geology or Teacher’s Education in any of these fields.

Requirements: 1. Student must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident 2. Student must have a G.P.A. of 2.8 or higher 3. Student must be a fully admitted, first time undergraduate at FIU, and registered for fulltime (12 credits minimum), each Fall and Spring term. 4. Student must apply for the FAFSA, and qualify for Financial Aid at FIU each year while in the program. FGLSAMP is a need based scholarship. 5. Student must be following the curriculum for the chosen STEM major

Application deadline for New Applicants for Fall 2012: June 1, 2012

FGLSAMP Scholarship recipients who have not graduated, and continue to meet the program requirements will continue to be awarded, without re-applying. Please notify me of any changes in your email address or status.
