Much of the reading of the books will be done at home. The assessment will be done at school. Writing Short written pieces. One or two pieces of writing that will be taken through the entire writing process, including a revised, edited, typed draft. One or both of these will be done on GoMyAccess. Sentence Fluency and “Everyday Editing,” quizzes and tests Conventions in Writing Evidence of application or improvement in the student’s written work.

Important Dates for Term 1: Term 1 begins August 19, 2009, and ends October 23, 2009. Parent Teacher Conferences will be held September 24. The Individual Reading Book Assessments will be taken September 23/24 and October 20/21 The last day to hand in any late or revised work is October 14 . No work for Term 1 will be accepted after October 23.
