JOIN US FOR HAWKFEST! It is THIS FRIDAY the 24th, from 5-8pm. J.J. Red Hots, Hungry Howie’s, and Kona Ice are selling food! ALL VOLUNTEERS - check in at the volunteer table at the front of school. Baskets will be raffled off at 7:45, and you don't have to be present to win! (put your name and # on each ticket) Raffle tickets can also be used for dunk tank (Ms. Renfro, Mr. O’Leary, Ms. Faulhaber and Mr. Moore) and cotton candy, which do require tickets. Everything else is included in price of the wristband. Wristbands and tickets (non-refundable) should be in Tuesday folders. If you did not pre-order, you can buy at the door! BUILDING A READING Life- Strategies You Can Use at Home to Support Your Reader Come join Mrs.Stoehr and Mrs. Barnes for an evening as we explore strategies to support all reading levels in grades K-5. We will talk about why reading levels exist and what they mean. We will also share ways you can support your child at home in reading. LAST TEACHER COLLEGE TRAINING! This past Friday and Monday we hosted Alexandra Romain (Teacher College Reading and Writing Project Lead Trainer) for more K-5 Reading Workshop Training. We focused on Close Reading, Shared Reading, and Strategy Groups. It is so amazing to learn from an expert in your own environment. Our Teachers and Administration thank the PTA for funding this outstanding Professional Development!!
