Job Description – LifeWize Assistant, part-time

I. Job Description and Summary The LifeWize Assistant will be responsible to assist the LifeWize Director in the administrative duties of the center as well as presenting to middle and high school classes as needed. This is a part-time position of 29 hours per week.

II. Reporting Responsibility The LifeWize Assistant is responsible to and under the supervision of the LifeWize Director for performing the job responsibilities listed below as well as other tasks requested by the director.

III. Qualities, Skills and Experience  Mature Christian walk, actively involved in a Southern Baptist or like faith church and supports the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message  A belief and commitment to the sanctity of all human life  A commitment to sexual purity  A ministry minded person with a passion for working with youth, the broken and under served  Minimum of high school diploma  Organizational and administrative skills and experience  Proficient in Microsoft Office  Proficient in desktop publishing  Proficient in social media. Website maintenance a plus.  Flexible team player

IV. Job Responsibilities  Works with LifeWize program coordinator to ensure effectiveness of all LifeWize teaching sites  Assists LifeWize coordinator to evaluate volunteer teachers and program to identify any weaknesses, inconsistencies and strengthen the effectiveness of the programs  Works with LifeWize director in the planning of volunteer training and other special events to strengthen the effectiveness of abstinence presenters.  Assists in the production of materials, fact sheets, and information related to the topic or teaching of sexual risk avoidance (abstinence).  Use desktop publishing to prepare: - Web page - Newsletters - Special Flyers - Programs or Bulletins  Serves as substitute as needed to support volunteer staff at assigned teaching sites.  Makes sure each assigned teacher has the appropriate curriculum/videos and materials in a timely manner; keeps an inventory and checkout system of curriculum and equipment
