Confidentiality and Media Relations Agreement
The Zoological Society of London reserves the commercial copyright of all images taken on site, whether by visitors or staff, and photographs may only be taken on this understanding. All photographs and videos taken while at ZSL are for private use only. All notes, records, memoranda, photographs and preparations used by you during the course of work will be and will remain the property of ZSL and must not be taken away without the permission of your Director.
You may not publish or issue to the media photographs, items of news regarding ZSL, comments or articles of current interest (or take part in any interview) without ZSL’s prior approval. Please note this includes social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter; these are semi-public. Confidential and/or damaging information can easily get into the public domain from these sources.
Client confidentiality is to be respected. All information to which there is access or contact is to be treated as confidential at all times. Discussion with tutors at university is acceptable.
Should you wish to publish any findings or present any information e.g. at a conference, written permission must first be received from one of our veterinarians. The veterinarian must also be included as a co-author, and be consulted for approval of any abstracts/papers. Images may be used for conference presentations and publication only upon receipt of written permission of one of the Veterinary Officers (although it is not anticipated that reasonable requests will be refused). For all articles, papers and presentations, the guidelines can be obtained from the office administrator.
