MEMBER X Announces Opioid Events in CITY, STATE

WASHINGTON, DC – Representative X X (R-XX) today announced a series of opportunities for residents to get involved in efforts to combat the opioid epidemic.

LOGISTICS – What, where, when

Rep. X, a member of the House Energy and commerce Committee, has a long history of supporting bipartisan efforts to combat the epidemic. From his/her support of the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA) and the 21 st Century Cures Act, which are both law, Rep. X has continued to fight for vulnerable patients in need of help. “You don’t have to go very far to hear a first-hand story of how this epidemic has ravaged our communities. These events and our upcoming committee activity will play important roles in this fight and I look forward to keeping the residents of STATE’s XX district apprised of our efforts,” added Rep. X.

Rep. X is also currently soliciting feedback on potential ways to combat the epidemic. Ideas can be shared with his Washington office by calling 202-XXX-XXXX or by attending one of the events listed above. Members of Rep. X’s staff will also be able to assist in sharing your ideas.

Many of us have heard about the opioid crisis currently ravaging the country and some of us may have first-hand experience. As a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee (TAG), I am working to identify legislative solutions that will assist in solving this devastating problem.
