BANGLADESH HIGHLIGHTS - 11 Days/10 Nights Day 1 Dhaka - arrival You will be met on arrival (very early past midnight) by our representative and transferred to the Pan Pacific Sonargaon hotel for two night stay – room pre-booked for immediate check in.

Day 2 Dhaka (B,L,D) Enjoy a full day Dhaka city tour today, covering Curzon Hall, Shahid Minar, Dhakeshwari temple, Lalbagh Fort, Ahsan Manjil, Sadarghat River Front, Hindu Street, National Parliament Building & Aarong Handicraft shop. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Dhaka.

Day 3 Dhaka – Chittagong (B,L,D) Drive to Chittagong this morning. En-route visit Sonargaon, the old capital of Bengal, Mainamati, the Buddhist Archeological sites (monuments & Museum) & World war II Cemetery in Comilla district. Arrive Chittagong the evening . Dinner at local restaurant & overnight in Chittagong.

Day 4 Chittagong to Rangamati (B,L,D) After breakfast at the hotel drive to Rangamati (3 hrs) and check in to the BPC Motel for an overnight stay Visit Tribal Museum, Buddhist Temple, Tribal weaving factory & show Rooms. After lunch enjoy the most fascinating boat trip to Shuvalang on the Kaptai lake. Dinner & overnight stay at Rangamati.

Day 5 Rangamati to Bandarban (B,L,D) This morning drive to Bandarban. En-route visit Golden Buddhist Tamale (optional), Tribal village and other local sights. Check in to the Milonchhari Hill Resort for an overnight stay. Lunch at the Resort and enjoy a free afternoon at the resort. Dinner& overnight stay at Bandarban.

Day 6 Bandarban to Cox’s Bazaar (B,L,D) After breakfast at the Resort, visit ‘Chimbuk’ the roof of Bangladesh & Shailakupa. Return to the resort for Lunch. This afternoon drive to Cox’s Bazar and overnight stay. Enjoy the sunset at the Bay of Bengal at Cox’s Bazar. Dinner & overnight stay at Cox’s Bazar.

Day 7 Cox’s Bazaar to St. Martin (B,L,D) Start on your drive very early this morning (6 am) and drive approximately 2.5 hours to Teknaf. Breakfast at Parjatan Motel before you board the ferry to St. Martin - the only Coral Island of Bangladesh. Arrive at St. Martin by 1230 hrs. and check in to the Blue Marin hotel (standard room) Enjoy the beauty of the island. After lunch enjoy an afternoon at leisure on this beautiful island. Dinner & overnight at St. Martin.

Day 8 St. Martin to Cox’s Bazaar (B,L,D) Breakfast at resort before you visit Chhera Island (20 min) cruise from main island. After lunch board the ferry for your return trip to Teknaf by 5 pm & drive back to Cox’s bazaar this evening and check in to the Sea Crown hotel (standard room) for a two night stay. Dinner & overnight stay at Cox’s Bazar.

Day 9 Cox’s Bazaar (B,L,D) Breakfast at the hotel. Take a beach drive by traditional local Jeep. After lunch visit the Burmese Market, run by local Tribes (Rakhain & Chakma), Visit Ramu, famous for its Buddhist Temple (optional). Dinner & overnight stay at Cox’s Bazaar.

Day 10 Cox’s Bazaar to Dhaka (B, L, D) After breakfast private transfer to the airport for your flight to Dhaka. Arrive in Dhaka & transfer to hotel for an overnight stay. Enjoy lunch at local restaurant. This afternoon take a shopping trip in Dhaka and enjoy the local sights. Dinner tonight will be at a local restaurant. Overnight stay at Dhaka.

The main attraction of Sonargaon of today the ruins of old Panam city, some monuments and beautiful mosque of Muslim Sultante period (1399-1409 AD can be visited. The attractive Folk-art museum, which has a rich collection of folkart, cultural and traditional works, is located by the side of panoramic lake abnd gardens. Lunch at wayside restaurant. After lunch drive to Mainamoti- Lalmai ridge (70km) where you can visit more than 50 ancient Buddhist relics of 7th-8th century A.D. These are mostly monasteries, temples and stupa. The most important findings from the excavations are Salban vihara, Kotila Mura, Vasu Vihara, Ananda vihara, Charapatra Mura, Itakhola Mura and Repbau Mura. Day -3: EXCURSION to RANGAMATI (B,L,D) In the morning Excursion to Rangamati, situated in the far southeastern corner of Bangladesh, bordering Mizoram (India) the Rangamati Hill district is 77 km from Chittagong. This is an unique place for holidays. Here you will visit Tribal Museum, Buddhist Temple, hanging bridge, The Chakma King’s Palace and handicraft shops. After lunch the most fascinating boat cruise in the Kaptai Lake with its splendid setting of lush landscape and scenic grandeur. The journey through the Suvolong point and entering into the widest part of lake will be an amazing experience which is more exciting than that of Kashmir Valley. Day -4: CHITTAGONT-COX'S BAZAR VIA BANDARBAN (B,L,D) Drive to Cox's Bazar. En route visit Bandarban hill district is 92-km distance from Chittagong and is situated in the southwest flank of Myanmar hill range. This is the most attractive place to visit and to get a touch of tribal life, luminous valley covered with dense forest, enchanting spring and falls, panoramic lake and ideal for hill tracking. Here you will see the Murang tribal villages, traditional markets and Buddhist Temple. Overwhelming scenic surroundings and natural setup during your visit here. Visit Shaila Prepat and Chimbook Hill. St. Martin Island is completely isolated and is accessible by crossing 29 km blue water of Bay of Bengal from the south east coast of Teknaf and bordering the Myanmar hill ranges. Day 02, DHAKA -JESSORE (flight) VIST BAGERHAT (B, L, D) After breakfast, transfer to the airport & fly to Jessore and we start tracing the rich heritage of Bangladesh. We commence with a scenic rural Bangladesh landscape as we drive to Bagerhat via Khulna. Our explorations here includes the famous Mosque city, visiting the 60 domes Mosque - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, tomb of Khan Jahan (Builder of the Mosque), the 9 dome mosque before continuing on to Khulna. Overnight at Khulna.

Day 03, KHULNA - Excursion To SUNDARBAN (B, L, D) A very interesting day ahead as we take an excursion to the world largest mangrove forest Sunarbans - UNESCO World heritage Site. Part of this excursion will be done by boat The Sundarbans mangrove forest, the single largest forest in the world (140,000 ha), lies on the delta of the Ganges, Brahmaputra & Meghna rivers on the Bay of Bengal. The site is intersected by a complex network of tidal waterways, mudflats and small islands of salt-tolerant mangrove forests and presents an excellent example of ongoing ecological processes. We visit the world's largest mangrove belt –a popular habitat of the Royal Bengal tiger. The forest treasures 330 plant species, 35 reptiles, 400 fishes, birds and 42 mammals. Overnight at Khulna.

Day 04, KHULNA - BOGRA VIA PUTIA (B, L, D) Another day into the heritage of this unique country as we proceed to Bogra, visiting first the Putia Temple city known for housing the Temples of Shiva and Govinda. After visiting the temples and admiring it's artistic designs and architecture, we will experience today seeing the rural and village life of Bangladesh. We stop at various villages and the local bazaars to get a feel of the lifestyle. Upon arrival at Bogra we are transferred to our hotel. Overnight at hotel in Bogra.

Day 05, BOGRA visit PAHARPUR & MAHASTANGARH (B, L, D) Visit another of Bangaldesh's heritage to the world –the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Paharpur. At this Budsdhist Monastery we see the Buddhist Vihara dating back to the 8th century - the largest monastery south of the Himalayas. Its layout perfectly adapted to its religious function, this monastery-city represents a unique artistic achievement. With its simple, harmonious lines and its profusion of carved decoration, it influenced Buddhist architecture as far away as Cambodia. From here we continue to Mahasthan - an old fortress dating back to the 3rd Century B.C. In the evening, we visit the local market and have a cultural experience. Overnight at hotel in Bogra.

Day 06, BOGRA- DHAKA via TANGGAIL (B, L, D) A culturally refrehsing day ahead as we visit the weaver's village in Tangail famous for Saris, lungis, bed sheets, etc. Here we also get an opportunity to see the village life and talk to the local folks whose lifestyle has remained simple and yet contained. After this we visit the Atia Mosque built in 1609 - a blend of pre and imperial Moghul architectures and styles. The Mosque is known for it's majesty and beauty. We then continue to Dhaka from where we continue with our sightseeing of the capital city before being transferred to our hotel. Overnight in Dhaka.

Day 07, DEPARTURE DHAKA (B,-,-) After an interesting journey into the heritage sites and lifestyle of Bangladesh, we bid farewell as we are transferred to the airport for our flight to on ward destination.
