Matters arising: Under Item 6 of the last Minutes the last sentence should read ‘…and the remuneration of the Hall 3 Convener were also discussed.’ As the Convener subsequently resigned the meeting was advised that a new Convener was being sought. 4 Police Report. No Police Report Report from Highland Councillors. Ward 18 has approved a grant of £4,750 towards the cost of the Playpark. Resurfacing of parts of Culloden Road will take place this week. The area at Forest Drive junction will be checked to ensure it is included. K Stephen. Some Wellside residents had complained about the grassed area near the Well that had been allowed 5 to become meadow to assist biodiversity. This will now be maintained by Highland Council grass cutting contractors to the same standard as the rest of Wellside. Local resident to be informed. K Stephen Reorganisation of Highland Council continues. Workshops on the Inverness East Plan will be held on 16 Nov at Smithton Free Church. Report from Chairman. There had been an offer by Transport Scotland to give a short presentation to the BCC. This will be accepted. I Williams The BCC were consulted on the Gambling Act. A return will be made commenting on the density of gambling establishments in communities. I Williams 6 BCC were invited to attend a Rural Inverness Communities Convention at Smithton Free Church on 8 Nov 2016. A representative will attend and the invitation will be passed on to BVT. I Williams The Balloch Community Association will hold an EGM on 14 Nov 2016 in the Hall to explain the need for it to become a charity and seek views from the Community as to what other activities the Hall could support. An alternative use of the Snooker Club facilities was one suggestion. 7 Treasurer’s Report. The annual grant had been received. AOB The BVT Playpark working group had received a letter from the Council’s Legal Dept indicating BVT would be responsible for equipment maintenance and grass cutting. This seems to be at 9 variance with the original letter from the Council and the system of maintenance at other playparks in Highland Council region. Copy of letter to be sent with query to Highland Council. R Campbell
