TOTAL MINIMUM CREDITS REQUIRED FOR COMPLETION: 33 semester hours

Whenever possible for a student, the CSE program faculty recommends that students take more than the minimum number of hours. While we are aware that some students are under constraints to finish as soon as possible, we also encourage students to utilize their graduate school time to take the coursework needed to feel fully prepared to engage in one’s final research requirement, as well as have a depth and breadth of knowledge in Critical Studies in Educational Foundations along with their research area of interest.

In addition, there are graduate level certificate programs that a student might consider for a useful and meaningful part of their academic program, such as the Women and Gender Studies Certificate, the Museum Studies Certificate, Environmental Sustainability Certificate, and Teaching English as a Second Language, among other options. These extend your program, and are worthy aspects of a well-rounded graduate education.

Students may take advantage of various Study Abroad opportunities lasting anywhere from a week to a whole semester. There are several valuable summer opportunities for study abroad. (Extra course fees are required.)
