Are there any BPA chapters near you?

Have you competed in BPA before?

If so, when and where?

Why do you want to be a member of the Texas virtual chapter?

Would you be interested in participating in our BPA Cares or Torch Awards programs? These are programs to recognize you for your community service and leadership activities in high school. Membership in BPA includes connections to our BPA University that includes online webinars and leadership courses online. BPA has also partnered with Next Step Academy which provides access to business and leadership courses that provide certifications and digital badges to show your knowledge in these areas. Our Membership Certification series will help you learn about BPA and all of the opportunities that it has to offer. Once you are registered, you will receive your membership login information for these programs.

Travel to the regional, state and national leadership conferences will be at your expense. You will pay registration fees and hotel expenses on your own. If you had a chapter at your school, you could work with your classmates to fundraise for this. If you are a minor, you will be required to travel with your parent or guardian as a chaperone. I will be your advisor of record. I will connect you with an advisor and chapter that are in your area that will help you at the conference. We want to be sure that you are connected in BPA and networking is an important skill that we want to help you build.

This year the State Leadership Conference will be at the Omni Bayfront in Corpus Christi, Texas, February 28-March 3, 2018. The National Leadership Conference will be in Dallas, Texas, May 9-13 at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine.

If you are interested in competition, you will compete at a Regional conference near you just as any other student. I will help you find a conference near you and get you registered. If you would like to compete, competition at the Regional level will cost an additional $20 and will need to be in a separate check made out to BPA to be delivered to the contest site. You will have to qualify to compete at state and nationals. However, any member may attend state or nationals as a voting delegate, officer candidate, intern, or leadership academy participant. If you do not qualify through your region as a qualifier but would like to attend the state or national conference, please let me know so that I can work on the registration. Again, travel and arrangements are at your expense and you are required to travel with a chaperone. Registration costs and information will be available online as plans are finalized for these events.
