Clubs, Participants and Spectators please take note : Spectators can follow and support their participating club sculler in the Cork Sculling Ladder from the Marina bank at all times. No club boats on the river are to follow any sculling ladder race at any time. If so, the participating racing sculler from the offending club will be given a warning, on the second warning the sculler will be disqualified.

Stewart Davis, Captain Lee Rowing Club has put aside the first Sunday of every month for sculling races in the Cork sculling ladder for the scullers’ from Lee RC. so it will not cause disruption to their club training schedule.

ANNUAL SCULLING CHALLENGE RACES. The Belfast Sculling League, the Cork Sculling Ladder and the Dublin Sculling Ladder welcome the Limerick Sculling Ladder to the Annual Sculling Challenge Races. Dublin will host the 11th series of Sculling Challenge races in September, 2009. 2009 – Dublin, 2010 – Belfast, 2011 – Cork and 2012 – Limerick.
JACK BUCKLEY. CORK BOAT CLUB. Condolances to the family of the late Jack Buckley who died recently. Jack was a lifelong supporter of rowing and other sports. He is survived by his sons Aidan and Gregg. May he rest in peace.
SEASCAPES. SEASCAPES, the Maritime programme on RTE Radio 1, hosted by Tom MacSweeney, has moved to a new transmission time of Friday night at 10.30pm.
