Good Morning Woodbury! Thursday, February 2, 2012 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. (Presentation at 8:00 a.m.)

Woodbury City Hall 8301 Valley Creek Road Birch Conference Room

Join us for networking, refreshments and information about the proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance.

As part of the implementation of the new 2030 Comprehensive Plan, the City must update its official controls. Official controls are defined as ordinances and rules which control the physical development of a city. Examples of official controls include subdivision regulations, the zoning ordinance and official maps. The subdivision and zoning ordinance are tools to implement the vision established in the comprehensive plan. In addition to revising the zoning ordinance to conform to the updated comprehensive plan, other goals for this zoning ordinance update include:  Consolidate zoning districts where appropriate to reduce redundancies and provide simpler, consistent standards between like uses and areas.  Update use definitions and standards to reflect current times and conditions.  Improve organization and format consistency for ease of use.  Update and include all current development practices to increase transparency and accountability.  Where possible, promote ease of entry and regulatory flexibility by stream-lining regulations.  Maintain high standards to encourage quality development.

We hope that you will find this to be an informative session and we look forward to your feedback and comments.

The City of Woodbury is a proud member of the Woodbury Chamber of Commerce!
