Have No Extra Stuff (The Header, Footer, Ect)

Google Forms

Sometimes, the forms offered by the CMS are not what you need. You want forms that:  Have no “extra stuff” (the header, footer, ect)  Outputs to a spreadsheet (the CMS does not)  Does not Expire

Keep in mind, there are many, many resources available online to answer all of your questions, and a few you didn’t know you had.

The downside of using Google Forms in a lack of “professionalism”, these are simple, straightforward, easy to make and maintain forms that output to a spreadsheet and does not expire.

These are going to be very sketchy, as I was the only person to use them. And if you got this far, odds are you know how to Google.

1. Make sure that the wastormwatercenter Gmail account is the only Google account open. 2. Password is WaterRockCat. 3. Go to Google Drive, by clicking on the little grid that is “apps”. 4. Click on “Create”.

5. And go to “Forms”. 6. Fill in the blanks.

7. Clicking on “Multiple Choice” accesses different types of questions. 8. When you are done with your first question, click “Done”. 9. Then, “Add Item” to add another question. 10. Questions can be moved (by a click and drag) to change their sequence. The finished format will always be vertical, that is one question, and below it, another, and so on. 11. Under “Responses” are the options to set the form to accept responses and where you want those responses to go.

12. See “Accessing Google Drive and Forms” for more information on how to access the spreadsheet that the form will generate and fill with the responses.

13. When ready, click on “Share Form” to get the URL you will need to link to the form. It will not live on the WSC servers, but on Google’s servers.

14. To get back to your email, click on the “apps” grid and then click on the Gmail “envelope” icon.
