Treasurers Report Debra Discussion: Per Deb, there are now 64 current local GCSC members, and a few have been obtained from our WEB site. Welcome Pam ONeil and Alan Wright, new members from BGSMC, who signed up at today’s education meeting. Our Current balance is $1053.53. The account was changed from Wells Fargo to Washington Mutual. The Arizona Corp. papers have been the largest expense so far, that the chapter has. Need to find a way to remind those who have joined on the WEB, to pay their dues.
Open forum ALL Discussion: Debbi gave an update on the Web site, the bulletin board is still a work in progress. There is still trouble for members to get on the local and national web sites. Per Carolyn, there are changes occurring in the corporation that runs ARNA, and the new IT guy, John, will hopefully get set up new links and web site hosts. The board meeting is August 12, and scheduled for 4 hours, 9am to 1pm, at BGSMC in Bonita’s office. Topics: map our next year, bylaws, CEUs’ on the Web site. It was also discussed and will be addressed at the meeting about increasing the education meeting by 1 hour. This will bring up the education hours from 3 to 6. It was also suggested to continue to keep the education meetings free for members, but maybe charge a minimum fee of $5 for non members. At this education meeting we also had 5 US/Vascular technicians, who attended and enjoyed it. At this education meeting there were a total of 24 attendees. 18 are members. Our topic was Guidelines for PVC, the speaker was Dr. Harvey Wiener. The educational meeting was a success, the evaluations were all high.
