Research Proposal Example

My research topic is film/tv. My research question is: Why is British television so popular now in the United States? This topic interests me because I love watching BBC shows, especially Doctor Who and Downton Abbey. I want to spend time researching this because I’d like to know more about the history of these shows, and I want an excuse to watch TV. I’m hoping to discover why British culture is so popular recently and if this is a trend that will continue, or if it’s just a fad that will go away. I’m also curious about the reasons why Americans like British culture, because, after all, in 1776 we wanted to LEAVE England, so why are we so obsessed with it now? When I searched Facts on File, I found 6 articles about my topic. I also looked at GALE and found 10 articles.
