Executive Chef – Cress Creek Country Club Cress Creek Country Club, located in Naperville, Illinois is currently seeking a candidate to fill their Executive Chef position. Founded in 1963, Cress Creek Country Club offers a full range of services to its 490 members and their families. Facilities include a 39,000 square foot clubhouse built in 2004, two swimming pools, six tennis courts, including four Har-Tru clay courts and an 18-hole championship golf course, renovated by noted architect Ron Pritchard in 2009. The Club draws members from Naperville and several of the surrounding communities.

The total club revenues are approximately $4.7 million of which $1.3 million are food and beverage related. The Club enjoys a healthy schedule of banquet, golf and social events throughout the year.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong skill set including but not limited to the following:  Exhibited ability to manage food cost, labor, and operating expenses  Proven culinary leadership  Creative menu development and event planning  Ability to interact with food and beverage team and all members of the Club’s management team  Strong purchasing background  Maintain all kitchen equipment and ensure the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the kitchen and all outlets  The ability to lead, motivate and mentor team members  Outstanding member interaction including regular visits to the dining room and maintained visibility throughout the Club  Ensures that high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the kitchen at all times  Takes the lead in the preparation of budgets in his / her area of responsibility  Cooks and directly supervises the cooking of items that require skillful preparation

The Executive Chef will report directly to the Club’s General Manager and be expected to be the senior leader of the food and beverage operation of the club. This is a working position.

Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, and crouch; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Applicants should possess a significant number of years in a private club setting or comparable type high end property.

Compensation package will commiserate with experience. Full benefit package including medical, dental, vision and 401k is available.
