World War Ii Booklet Instructions

WORLD WAR II BOOKLET INSTRUCTIONS:

Your completed booklet must have the 4 components listed below (in bold). It must be turned in on test day. No late work will be accepted since the project was given on Day 1.

VOCABULARY- DEFINITIONS- You must handwrite a definition for each term that is on the sheet that was given to you. You must also leave a blank space in between each definition. The neater you make your work, the easier it will be to study from.

CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER- TIMELINE- Take the events that are listed in the chronological order section from your unit sheet and locate the full date for each event. Once you have recorded the dates, arrange the events on a timeline with their dates (this must be in order). You also need to pick any 8 events from the list and find or create a picture that matches the event. Place the images with your timeline.

FAMOUS PEOPLE- FACTS AND IMAGES- You were given 5 famous people. You must research the people and list 5 relevant facts for each person (total of 25). Again, these facts must be about the person’s role during WWII. In addition to the 5 facts per person, you must choose 3 facts for each person and put a picture that represents the fact. For example, you may put down that Churchill was a member of the Big Three. For the picture, you could locate an actual picture or you could make a 3. You will have a total of 15 pictures when you are done. I DO NOT want to see three images of each person—make the images RELEVANT!!!

MAP- You will be provided a map. Your job is to label all the countries appropriately and to mark all the significant battles as Allied or Axis victories. (use color for the victories) Stalingrad El Alamein Dunkirk Normandy Guadalcanal Iwo Jima Okinawa Pearl Harbor London Midway
