TRUST FUND ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES June 22, 2012

I. Call to Order, Mr. Camardelle, Chair

II. Roll call of Elected Committee Members - Members Present were as follows:  Terry Camardelle, New Orleans  Lee Frazier, Lake Charles  Phillip (Jimmy) Trahan, New Orleans  Shelly LeJeune, Baton Rouge  Frank J. Gaffney, III, Shreveport  John Burt, Houma

III. Review of Agenda

IV. Approval of Minutes Motion to approve March 23, 2012 minutes was made by John Burt, Jimmy Trahan seconded the motion, all in favor, motion passed.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

I. Insurance Stipends/Waivers John Burt questioned whether the waiver had changed. Kevin assured him that it has not changed. The only change is changing DSS to LWC and the date. A heated discussion followed. The consensus of the committee was that the document is illegal and they did not want to sign it. Frank Gaffney made a motion to have the stipend waiver to be re- written according to the TAG Manual to deal strictly with health insurance. John Burt seconded the motion, all in favor, motion passed. II. Federal City Cost Janell stated she did not have the figures. Kevin stated that it was around $200,000 and the equipment was somewhere around $130,000. Kevin stated that Mark would like to do some type of grand opening.

III. Attorney Fees Breakdown Kim Venable read the breakdown that was sent by LWC Law Office of Shows, Cali, Berthelot, & Walsh 115,020.96 Law Office of Shelly Dick 17,332.50 GRAND TOTAL 132,353.46

John Burt requested that the EC Committee receive an attorney breakdown for each meeting. Discussion followed.

III. Comments Frank Gaffney asked if they had ever received the money from Cantu. Kevin stated that they had not, and he did not know why. Frank stated that they wanted to use that money to get matching money for the city. Janell stated that when money is drawn down that it goes into a separate pot. She also stated that when you look at what has been spent this year, most of that is federal money.
