1. Roll  Meeting began at 6:00pm  Participants on page 1  Past Minutes Approval September minutes approved. 2. Club Business  No formal agenda provided prior to meeting; however, the following topics were discussed  League Reports WAGS – Joe Niemi (Bill Oosterink reporting) . Nothing new to report. NCSL – Wes Brubacher . Nothing new to report. BBSL – Alan Buster . BBSL will award 1st and 2nd place trophies at a Baltimore Blast game.  FAST Ray Fairgrieve discussed changes to this year’s indoor soccer. Instead of FAST (Five-A-Side- Teams), we will switch to Futsal, which is also 5v5 soccer. This will allow us to compete against other Futsal teams and enter Futsal tournaments. Futsal requires that all players be carded; however, the carding process is much easier than the MSYSA process. Players do not need to be previously carded with MSYSA. Futsal registration is all done online. Teams can register up to 18 players and then split the roster into two teams of nine players. Ray will submit paperwork to allow our club to join Futsal. We will play home games at St. Mary's College. See Futsal website for more details: www.futsal.org. Futsal fees are $6.50 per player and $13 per coach plus Club fees of $300-$350 per team. Board members discussed the possibility of approaching Waldorf and Calvert in an attempt to form a Southern Maryland League in order to increase competition and give players a chance to play more teams in their age groups. Ray will approach the other leagues to pursue bringing them together in one league. If we do for a Futsal league with Waldorf and Calvert, we will play 6 home games, 2 away games in Waldorf, and 2 away games in Calvert. Ray proposed that we name the league - St. Mary's Youth Futsal League, but we need to run this past the Executive Committee.  Kohl’s Cup The Kohl's Cup is scheduled for November 17. The maximum roster size is 6 players. Kathy Fairgrieve has helped to get this effort started. However, Kathy is not available the day of the tournament and we need a volunteer to take her place. ACTION: Who volunteers to coordinate the Kohl’s Cup tournament?

 Practice Under Lights

Discussed use of baseball/softball fields for lighted practice time. Several teams were interested. Need volunteer to head this. There were no volunteers. Email Chris if your team is interested in practicing under the lights. Fee was $25 last year. Plan on $30 this year in case it has increased. We can still split the field and cost with other teams.  Leonardtown High School Home Games Ray said LHS Boys Soccer could use ball boys at home games if any teams are interested. Team gets in free, adults have to pay. Email him for dates.  Discussion for November Meeting We will discuss the following item at the November meeting: Should SMU U12 and up teams be required to participate in Maryland State Cup. 3. Meeting adjourned at 6:50pm.
