Plant Fundraiser Information

Partner with East Central Ministries’ Growing Awareness Urban Farm and have a plant fundraiser! ECM is a Christian community development ministry in the SE Heights of Albuquerque, and Growing Awareness is our micro-business where the plants are grown. Help your group raise funds while supporting local, sustainable development in your community! To learn more about who we are, visit our websites: www.eastcentralminstries.org and www.growingawarenessurbanfarm.com

For your fundraiser we can offer you numerous varieties of specialty and classic tomatoes and peppers grown using no chemical pesticides or fertilizers, in greenhouses in the backyard of our ministry.

Here is how the fundraisers work:

Select a weekend that works best for you: April 17 or 24 and May 1 or 8. Based on the size of your church or school and the projected interest in gardening, you select a starting package suggestion from #1-5 listed below—consider opening up the sale to your neighborhood and advertizing; purchasers are supporting two worthy organizations!

We have attached the prices and varieties of plants and products we are selling this year. When you pick up your plants, we will provide you with plant labels with pictures and descriptions of the plants we have available, brochures about ECM, price cards, business cards, and inventory lists. You arrange a specific time on the Friday or Saturday before the scheduled Sunday to pick up the plants; unsold plants must be dropped back off at ECM on Monday or Tuesday.

You sell what you can on consignment, and bring the rest back to us. We will have inventory lists marked with everything we've given you. After your sale, you mark down what you have left. The difference between the two is what you will be charged for. We’ll count up what was sold and send you an invoice; then you can write us a check. This way, people can make their checks out to your organization the day of the fundraiser.

Please see attached document for details on all prices, varieties of plants, description of ollas, and flavors of honey, and pictures and details on other products!
