Secretary’s Report On the Agenda

Treasurer's Report Bank Account address has now been changed. Available for use is £5040.00 Plot Inspection Postponed due to weather. Proposed next date 24th March 2017 Friday 10am. Main Items Membership of ‘Allotment Gardens Council UK’. The benefits of joining this organisation are: Peter to include in Newsletter. Fee is £1.00 per plot as opposed to £3 per plot for NAS. Insurance may be cheaper than RHS, we ned to check. Seeds are via Dobies (not the super store). We need to check if plot holders are in support of this idea via the newsletter. Possibility of joining for next year. Discuss later in year. Crab Apple Planting Peter to ask plot holders. Two trees will be planted to commemorate the 90th Anniversary of MRA opening. Sheila, one of the oldest plot holders and a plot holder’s child will be asked if they could plant the trees. All the ground will be prepared etc. Plaque saying who and when needs Jude to organise the sign plus some speed signs to be purchased. and no dumping signs This will take place at the Plant Sale which is on 22nd April (not th 29 April (too near bank holiday)) Lyn to check if work completed. Tree Removal Progress Majority of work completed but rest will be done by Thursday 16th March. Lyn will check if work done and contact Treasurer. Skips Lyn to organise skips and to await delivery. Two to be ordered for Friday 24th March. One at the top and one in the middle car park. One will be paid for by LCC other by us. Treasurer gave £180 for cash payment of skip to Lyn. Toilet Update Toilet has been cleaned. The web based Portable Toilet company have said that we can replace the pump. Lyn asked Dave G to look at the pump. He did and fixed it completely. So toilet now working. Main Pathway Repair Peter to keep in contact with LCC over this Peter has contacted LCC and they have assured him they it is on matter. the list for PMU but as they are uncertain of funds they cannot say exactly if it will be done this year. Dave Speake Repair/ replacement of two raised beds on the Community Plot Lyn to see Dave and ask for invoice. 6 has been done. Cost £250 Removal of Shed; this has been done. Cost £120. Treasurer needs an invoice from Dave before payment will be made. A vote was taken to accept these payments. It was unanimous. Peter to contact. Plot 20 Committee considered that due process had been followed and the tenants would be given a further week to remove the table and swings. They should then return the key and their deposit will be refunded. Rats & Cats Matty to find out more. Feral cats cannot be re-homed. Perhaps they can be released onto plot and control the increasing number of rats. Further information on this matter is to be gathered. Drone On Agenda for April Suggestion that a drone photograph could be taken of the site and this picture sold to raise funds. More information needed from Simon.

AOB: Water now back on. Mysteriously the water had been turned Lyn to contact Jo. on! Jo Lovious may do tap overhaul. Lyn to remind him.
