Classroom Management Plan: To ensure that the ultimate learning environment is obtained, all district and school rules will be enforced. Please read this carefully and thoroughly because you will be asked to sign a contract designating you understanding and willingness to comply with these rules.

Materials Needed:  1 ½ inch Binder  Paper  Dividers  Loose Graphing Paper

Classroom Rules & Procedures: 1. Check the board for the daily objectives. 2. Bring materials to class every day. 3. Be prepared and punctual. 4. Be respectful 5. CELL PHONES & ANY ELECTRONIC DEVICES WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!! a. Should your phone be picked up, you may pay to pick it up in the front office. 6. All food or drinks must be put away in your bags, if seen they will be disposed of.

Consequences: 1st Offense - Verbal Warning & Parent Phone Call 2nd Offense - Teacher/Student Conference 3rd Offense - Referral & Parent Conference

Absences: 1. All students should make effort to attend class everyday! According to state law, a student is allowed no more than 9 absences during a semester. Three tardies constitutes an absence. You are responsible for any work, test, quiz, and notes missed when absent. Absences will be handled in the following manner. 2. EXCUSED ABSENCES: If you have an excused absence, you will be allowed one school day for each day missed to make up homework, assignments, and test. If not a zero will be given. Biology-R/Science T

3. UNEXCUSED ABSENCES: If you have an unexcused absence (ex: bring no excuse to the office), you will receive a grade of zero for all graded activities missed and the grade will not change until you take an official excuse to the office. At that time you make talk to me after class concerning the late assignments or test. 4. ALTERNATIVE CENTER: If you are placed in AC, you will be responsible to come the next day after you have been released from AC during my conference period, before or after school for your missed assignment. If not you will receive a grade of zero for all graded activities missed and test.

Grade Composition Grading Scale 30% Class Work 90-100 A 10% Homework 80-89 B 40% Tests & Quizzes 70-79 C 20% 6-Weeks Exams 60-69 D 1.59 F Clean up: 1. Clean around your work area (during independent or group work) 2. Dispose of trash in proper containers 3. No talking 4. Stay in your seat or work area Assignments: 1. All assignments are to be written ONLY in black or blue ink. Never use Red ink. 2. Work to make-up a missed assignment will be accepted only when accompanied by an excused absence. 3. All late assignments will automatically result in a 20 point deduction. A late assignment will not be accepted after 2 days from the day it was originally due. 4. Make up work is your responsibility. See teacher after class.

Weekly Abstracts: You will be required to write an abstract weekly due every Monday/Tuesday depending on ODD/EVEN days no later than 4:00 pm. The purpose of these abstracts is for you as a student to gain knowledge in areas of science and keep you posted on current discoveries/events. These will account for most of your Homework grades therefore it is important that you complete these in a timely manner. If not done, they will bring down your grades. -Must be typed, 12 Font, 1 Page, DS -Resources: www.sciencedaily.com Hall Passes: No one may leave with less than 20 minutes remaining in the period.

Exiting the Class: 1. The teacher or substitute dismisses the class, NOT THE BELL. 2. Wait in your chair for dismissal.
