GEOFF HARRISON

It is with sadness that the League reports the sudden and untimely passing of Geoff Harrison, Secretary of Southall FC and the Middlesex FA Historian, on Tuesday evening.

Geoff had been the Secretary of Southall for many years and worked tirelessly to keep the club alive following the loss of the old Western Road ground and subsequent difficulties experienced by the club.

We send our deepest sympathies to Geoff’s family and to Southall FC

FROM EVERSLEY FC

After the huge success of last year, Eversley FC will once again be holding a 5-a-side summer tournament in 2012. The date has been set for Sunday 24th June with applications required before the 31st May.

The tournament will be slightly bigger this year with 48 teams competing in 8 groups (so 6 teams per group). The top two teams will progress into the last 16, with all 3rd and 4th placed teams going into a Plate competition. The minimum number of games will therefore be 5, although the majority of teams will obviously play more.

The entry cost per team is £75, with car park costs of £3 (per car). Teams do not need to be affiliated with the County FA but clubs that enter who are officially affiliated will be liable for any disciplinary matters. Each team can consist of no more than 8 players.

Application forms and full competition details can be obtained from Club Secretary, Paul Latham, contact details below: T el: 07850 080493 Email: [email protected] FROM THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION
