Title: Programs Manager Department: Programs Reports to: Director of Programs Job Status: [X] Full-time [ ] Part-time [X] Exempt [ ] Non-Exempt
PRIMARY PURPOSE The Programs Manager is responsible for the development, delivery, and evaluation activities, for the 8 national programs and the program award process, partner contribution projects to ensure that goals and objectives specified are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations, or other specifications. Once partnerships have been secured, the Programs Manager works to follow a work plan in accordance with FCCLA and partner goals. Additionally, the Programs Manager supports the FCCLA Competitive Events throughout organization and implementation of the Events both at the conferences and throughout the planning of the competitions.
Management of activities and functions of the national programs, chapter and individual recognition processes. Percent of time spent: 40% . Develop and recommend new or revised program goals and objectives, recommends and monitors appropriate budget allocation. . Develop and schedule program of work plan in accordance with the strategic plan, specifications, and funding limitations. . Oversee daily operations and coordinate activities of programs and determine priorities . Confer with and advise staff, students and others to provide programmatic technical advice, and problem- solving assistance . Manage the processes and systems of the Program Award Applications and Awards . Evaluate program effectiveness to develop improved methods; devises evaluation methodology and implements; analyzes results and recommends and/or takes appropriate action Manages activities and functions of partner contribution projects. Percent of time spent: 40% Coordinates activities of program with inter-related activities of other programs, departments or staff to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures and specifications . Support Development staff in developing content and copy for marketing of program partnership projects . Review applications or other program documents independently or in conjunction with supervisor to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to program . Recruit and evaluate partner program effectiveness to develop improved methods; devises evaluation methodology and implement; analyzes results and recommends and/or takes appropriate action . Monitor partnership budget and requirements and develops reports for contributing partner . Interact and maintains liaison with students, staff and partner agencies in facilitating partnership program objectives Provide support for competitive student events. Percent of time spent: 20% Key Responsibilities . Coordinate with Senior Competitive Events Manager for all aspects of competitive student events. . Gather updates and publishes scholarship opportunities for participants, as requested. . Engage with the Competitive Events Advisory Team by participating in calls and meetings
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Job-related certification may be preferred or required.
Programs Manager– 2018 1 Experience: 5 – 7 years’ related experience to include administrative, project and/or program management experience. Supervisory experience strongly preferred. Tech savvy with intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office applications, database and presentation software; demonstrated ability to master new applications quickly.
