Job Title: Engineer I Reports to: Senior Process Engineer

Position Summary Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods through knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, quality standards and manufacturing excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Identifies root cause of production and quality dissatisfactions and non-conformances to resolve issues and eliminate their reoccurrence. 2. Monitors product standards and assists in the effort to implement Quality Control programs. 3. Leads engineering effort in tooling design to ensure product quality and efficiency of production method. 4. Manages and executes process engineering changes and reviews process to include control over process parameters, methods and tooling. 5. Applies statistical methods to determine process capability and control. 6. Assists with the training of Design Engineering group. 7. Participates in continuous improvement initiatives. 8. Responds to all customers with urgency and professionalism. Competencies: 1. Must be self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision. 2. Expert level competency in core process technologies. 3. Maintains knowledge of equipment and manufacturing technology changes 4. Utilization of Lean Manufacturing techniques 5. Working knowledge of ISO 9002

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or comparable technical degree. BSME preferred.

Due to manufacturing technologies utilized in the area common contaminants such as dirt, dust, grease, oil steel chips and water will be present.
