Cobb Chamber of Commerce Commission Sales Program Effective Date 11/1/04.

The commissioned sales program for Business Development Directors at the Cobb Chamber of Commerce shall consist of the following guidelines:

OBJECTIVES:  Sell NEW Cobb Chamber memberships, enhancing membership base.  Renew members retaining our clients.  Upgrade existing Chamber members. (equity increases)  Sell advertising in Chamber Directory, publications and website as able.

QUOTA/GOAL: 15 new members and $6000 total dollars per month.

COMMISSION: Paid at 45% on all new sales. 25% on all renewals 30% on ads/sponsorships or other products sold

The original salesperson has the exclusive right to renew their members or ads in future years, however if an ad has not been renewed by the established ad payment deadline for that year, the ad may be renewed by and credited to a volunteer or another Business Development Director.

BONUS: Sell 20 new members and meet $8,000 goal = $2000 bonus Sell 15 new members and meet $6,000 goal = $1500 bonus Sell 10 new members and meet $5,000 goal = $1000 bonus Sell <10 new members = $0 Plus: Additional $25 bonus for every new member over 15 & 10% for every dollar over $6000.

HOLIDAY/SICK/VACATION PAY: 2% Holiday/Sick/Vacation pay is awarded if BDD reaches goal of $6000 and 15 new members. Holiday/Sick/Vacation pay is calculated at the end of each month and paid on the 15th of the following month along with commission. Both goals must be met to receive Holiday/Sick/Vacation pay.

REINSTATEMENT OF DROPPED MEMBERS: If a member rejoins the Cobb Chamber within 6 months of their original anniversary date, commission will be paid at the renewal rate of 25%. Business Development Directors may sell a dropped member as new after 6 months. Commission Sales Program Page Two

ETHICS: Professional sales ethics are to be used at all times by the BDD.

LEADS: Walk-in, call-in and website leads are distributed on a rotating basis among Business Development Directors. BDD must check database to verify leads before pursuing. Failure to check may result in forfeiture.

EXPENSES: Expense Reimbursement shall include up to $380 per month for mileage and meals, cell phone, DSL service used for prospecting and sales. Monthly receipts must be submitted for mileage and meal expenses. Cell phone and DSL invoices must be submitted for initial reimbursement and subsequent reimbursements will be generated automatically through the accounting department.

MEETINGS & EVENTS: BDD is expected to attend sales meetings when scheduled. Every effort will be made to provide adequate notice. BDD is also expected to meet and greet new members during the first 30 minutes of all New Member Luncheons and to assist with set up, greeting and clean up of Leads to Success meetings on a rotating basis.

PROTECTED ACCOUNTS: BDD is responsible for identifying prospects and recording appropriate tracking notes in the Membership Manager (MMEE) database on a regular basis. Failure to record accurate data on the progress of the sale may result in forfeiture of the sales commission.

PERFORMANCE REVIEW/ACCOUNTABILITY: BDD reports to COO/SVP Economic Development and VP Membership. Monthly commission reports must be turned in with supporting documentation no later than the first Friday of every month. A performance appraisal will be conducted at the end of the initial 90-day review period and annually thereafter. Continued employment with the Cobb Chamber is dependent upon satisfactorily meeting the required production levels on a monthly basis. Consistently not achieving quota over a rolling three-month period is grounds for disciplinary action up to and including termination.

EMPLOYMENT AT WILL: Employment with the Cobb Chamber of Commerce is voluntarily entered into, and the employee is free to resign at any time, with or without cause. Similarly, the Cobb Chamber may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without notice or cause, so long as there is no violation of applicable federal or state law. TERMINATION: Upon departure from the Chamber Business Development Director will return all Chamber owned property including, but not limited to, laptop, procedures manual, employee handbook, name plate, key(s), etc. BDD will receive commission for sales on properly documented memberships that come in within 30 days after departure. If DBD has not met quota, and is in debt to the chamber, no commission will be paid.

BENEFITS: BDD is eligible for benefits as outlined in the employee handbook for full time employees.

This document, although not to be considered a contract for employment, spells out the terms and compensation structure of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce membership sales program. I understand the terms and conditions of the sales program as stated above. I also understand that the Chief Operating Officer and/or Vice President of Membership reserve the right to amend this program as necessary at any time.
